This pistol is so sweet and like new. Looks similar to a Sport King, but this one is of the striker fired genre.

22 LR; 98% blue, excellent bore, excellent grips, 4.5'' barrel, A standard Dura-Matic model 101, manufactured 1971-1973, with original blue finish and checkered plastic grips. Fixed front and rear sights. Complete with the original factory 10-shot magazine. The metal finish shows some minor scattered handling scratches and some very minor sharp edge wear mainly on the slide. The grips are excellent having a few scattered minor handling marks. Mechanically fine and clean internally.

Pretty sure the pistol can wait it's turn, that baby looks to be 90%. Congrats to the prior owner who took such good care of it and to you for happening upon it.

My first "new" shotgun was a High Standard. They made quality stuff for a short period. Best known for their police issue shotguns and pistols. The old Sears Ted Williams shotguns were made by them.

The old Flight Kings are extremely reliable and the action is smooth as can be.

Rock Island Armory imported a nice riot gun that clones the High Standard action.

Yeah ... that action was so smooth that all you had to do was hit the button and raise the barrel to vertical and the slide came down.

After watching several youtubers mess with their Duramatics, I think this is about the safest way to take The Plinker apart.

The grip is made of Bakelite resin. Pressing the rectangular release button drops the magazine cleanly.

Lock the slide back with the safety.
480410

Loosen and remove the barrel thumb screw, set barrel aside.
480411

Grasp the frame firmly all the while pressing against the slide. Take the safety off and squeeze the trigger. This allows the striker spring tension to drop dramatically.
480412

Release remaining tension, remove slide, firing pin & springs.

Easy peasie.
480414

Remove the trigger guard then grip screws to reveal the chassis.
