So I purchased a new Rossi R92 Triple Black in 45 colt ( review upcoming ). Filled out the online forms for a new Heritage Rough Rider of some kind.
My factory box labels were poorly printed and likely would have been unreadable in a few more months. They used crappy almost disappearing ink on their labels. You attach a pic of the sales receipt and the Box label. Then have to enter that same info in the form. It took me several attempts to get the UPC and serial number to match in their online checker. I had to go to the rossi website and find the UPC number of the similar triple black in 44 mag ( they don't show the 45LC version ) to figure out the format of the UPC number. My label had the leading and ending number of the UPC worn off and had to guess on a few other numbers that had worn off.
Once you get done - you get an email saying it is submitted....But wait - the last step of rebate submission gives you a one pager to mail in to complete the process.
They are making this one pretty hard - almost seems intentional. I will update on how this works out in 6 - 12 weeks.
