I used to be a member of the old Taurus forums. One of the reasons I decided to join the relatively new discussion forums is because I'm tired of reading negative opinions about Taurus firearms at a few of the other sites I belong to.
Frankly, I think much of the mostly unwarranted criticism of Taurus products is being done by flag wavers who insist that everyone who is a "real American buys American."
Anyway, when my wife decided to purchase a new 9mm DAO 24/7 a couple of years ago, it was due to ergonomics, weight, capacity, sights, DAO feature, and a controllable caliber that we both use for personal protection. And, this attractive pistol has since proven to function reliably with every selection of factory and handloaded ammo that we've fed it accept Magtech range fodder, which frequently FTFeed.
While I currently carry a slightly customized S&W 915, I've developed an interest in the Taurus 909B pistol, which the Taurus website indicates has been discontinued.
If the 909B has been discontinued, I'd sure like to know why. :???:
Oh, I almost forgot to mention the Taurus 62C SS .22LR carbine that I own and enjoy shooting.
