The last time I had cleaned it after going to the range, it was very difficult to push the slide forward (as in: using more force than required). I have broken it down many times before with no issue. Anyone relate or offer advice?

No sweat. PT145's have steel slides and alloy mini-frames. If you've got a burr on the slide the steel can start chewing into the alloy, and you may see some wear marks on the mini frame as a result, so take a real close look at the mini frame when you're examining it. I haven't had any more trouble out of mine since I fixed it, but it's definitely something to keep an eye on. Let us know what you find.
