Have enough staff to handle call volume. 32 and 24 minutes today.

TCP sent in last week, Fedex shows delivery Friday. Not listed as received on the website under repair check - thought I'd follow up. While on the road, 32 minute wait this morning before I had to hang up, 24 minutes 3 hours later, nothing but music.

I had the same experience on another day and waited 36 minutes before hanging up. Called another number and waited over 5 minutes and hung up. Poor customer service does not lead to success, and creates doubts in people about the viability of the company.
Unfortunately, you two are not alone. Taurus customer service call center, if not Taurus customer service department, is woefully undermanned.
It SHOULD NOT take a customer, let alone a dealer, over 2 HOURS to get an answer when one calls customer service.
Now, you have the up to 12 week 'vacation' as one of their gunsmiths becomes available to repair your returned gun.

Funny, it took me all of 5 minutes to get an answer with another gun manufacturer's customer service department, and less than TWO WEEKS from start to return of my gun. I'll let you guess which brand that is, and it certainly IS NOT Taurus.

People still buy their product. Why change? Change takes time, and money.

Well I guess that's subjective? In 2016 lowly SCCY firearms sold 35,000 more pistols in the U.S.A. vs Taurus.... just saying ;)

For that matter Hi-Point consistently sells more firearms in the U.S.A. than Taurus. Not bashing, just stating the #'s.

Because they just MIGHT retain those who have bought a Taurus in the past, have dealt with customer service, and are not satisfied with the service they received from Taurus when compared to other manufacturers, and look at other manufacturers now for their firearms needs. If they put money into improving customer service and warranty work, they MIGHT retain more customers.

I suggest you try the chat line instead of the phone line. I never was able to get through to a service agent when I called, but I spoke to one within five minutes every time I used the chat line. The chat personnel were able to get me answers quickly, too; it was not always the answer I wanted or have any new information, but at least I did chat with someone. Worth a try, if you have not done so already.

It might be hard to guess which gun manufactures take customer calls promptly as many do and respond quickly with repairs. The first one that comes to mind is Ruger. Others that are great also include such lowly companies like SCCY, Hi Point and even Phoenix. Bersa is great and has point and click for ordering all parts, other than the frame. Taurus cold have had a S & W reputation if parts and service were worth damn.
Of course they (S & W) are now bankrupt.
