Took my Bersa Thunder .22 out today and shot 100 rounds of Velocitors and Stingers through it.

There were no failures, but often during the first half of a magazine, when I would pull the trigger, the hammer would partially fall (maybe not as far as to the half-cock position - I should have checked!), and as I continued to pull the trigger, the hammer would then fall all the way and fire the round.

Don't think it ever happened in the 2nd half of a magazine, but only sometime during the first 5 rounds. It probably happened in 7 of the 10 magazines I fired.

Ever heard of this before? This is a new one on me.

Yes. On one hand, no failures. On the other, something is a little odd. This is just a plinker, so if it is 'eccentric' that's not a problem. But I'm a pretty curious person. I'll probably end up emailing the good folks who handle Bersa customer service (name slipped my mind). I've had one previous encounter and they were timely and willing to 'chat' via email about what was going on. Just thought I'd run it by the folks here, as well.
