I posted about an issue a couple weeks ago with my GX4. While firing, the striker cover on the rear of the slide wound drop and keep the pistol from returning to battery. I sent it in and Taurus told me that they had two people test fire 44 rounds through it and found nothing wrong. I got it back yesterday and upon inspection I found that the striker sleeve is now steel. I could swear it was black plastic before. What striker sleeve is in y’all’s GX4?

That looks a lot like a Lakeline sleeve I put in my G3C, I wouldn't use the gun, it's modified.

Hmm. Mine has a blue plastic sleeve, and it's a recent TORO model. But Taurus themselves replaced yours with a steel sleeve? Hmm again.

Yup. They did. It had the plastic sleeve when I sent it in.

Interesting...
Do you know for a fact that it is the slide that YOU sent in? Is the serial stamped on the slide?
Just wondering if it's possible that you got someone elses or if they were working on two at the same time and someone else's channel liner got mixed up with yours.

All speculation, really doesn't matter at this point.

It is my slide. I have an Ameriglo front sight on mine so not stock.
