Hello all. I've recently purchased a Gx4 and went to the range today for the first time with it. I thought it was great... Although when i got home i decided i should clean it just to get use to field stripping it. I noticed the muzzle is not longer perfectly round... "also was not looking down the barrel in this photo was using my phone to the side." This can't be normal? Was using just regular 9mm ammo from Winchester.

All I see are the lands and grooves in the barrel, which make up the rifling inside. Unless I’m not seeing what you are. Normal though.

I just do not remember it being like this before being shot.

When you field strip your pistol, hold one end of the barrel toward a light source and look through the other end. You’ll see what I mean. Enjoy your new pistol.

Welcome to the forum from KY! I would only worry if it was round. you need the grooves to stabilize the bullets and make the gun accurate.

Well from a Mile High here in COLORADO it sure looks fine to me and may I say an EXCELLENT choice of a firearm. Have a few Taurus Pistols & Revolvers and they shoot as well as any of my Glocks, Smiths or Colts. Keep her clean and she'll serve you for many years to come.

Perhaps what you are seeing is the spherical aberration of your camera lens looking at the barrel from a side view.

It's hard to see these pictures because the focus isn't good. But if you're talking about the rough edge, burrs around the inside circumference of the the barrel's end, I had that same before I ever shot the gun the first time. Just bad finishing.
