GX2 Question about front sight after installing Green Dot Optic

From what I have read, the front and rear sights on the GX2 are compatible with Glock sights.
I know the rear is, because I purchased an Optic plate with the Glock dovetail and it fit perfectly.
Now I have the issue where my green dot in the optic is not Co-Witnessed with the stock GX2 front sight.

How do I go about finding a compatible front sight (Glock or other) that is taller than the OEM GX2 front sight?

First, inspect the inside of your slide to ensure that you can remove the front sight in the same manner that a Glock front sight comes out. As long as it will, this set on Amazon should work. I've used these on my Glocks with great success to co-witness with my red dots. As you only need the front sight, $77 is not a bad price even though you won't use the rear sight. Stash the rear in case you ever decide to change from the rear sight dot mount you have now & go with a slide cut.

You could also contact Ameriglo directly to ask of they'd sell you a front sight only so you don't have to buy the set, if you don't think you'll ever do a slide cut dot mount.

I recommend the set with the orange front since your dot sight is green. They should be different colors so you don't get them confused at speed.

But keep in mind that since you longer have a rear sight, you'll have no rear reference point to align with a taller front sight. Even if your rear dot sight mount also incorporates miniature 'rear iron sight' dots or a slight notch to act as a rear 'iron sight'..... that may not align with any taller front sight to result in a correct point of aim to impact when the electronic dot is off or out of service.

That's one of the downsides to using a red dot sight mount that replaces the gun's factory rear sight & why most of us just spend the money to have our slide cut & mount a electronic sight in that manner.
