I subscribed to Gun Tests for a while. Some of their tests were good and some weren't. They also don't appear to read the manuals all the time either (on the Kel-tec P3AT the slide won't lock back on an empty mag, they didn't know this but its in the manual). You'd have to read the actual article and see what they were doing and how the guns were treated. But it also could have been an out of spec gun too.
