We always hear about the bad things but not nearly as much as the good so I thought I would post the good.

Maybe it was because my problem was simple, a while back, maybe 2 years ago, I had to replace the extractor in my PT-1911. It happens they fail. I replaced it with an after market extractor which has been functioning great. But I finally decided to call and order a spare, now that I did order a spare from Taurus I have no doubt that the current one will last me 20 years! :D

My experience with Customer service was great, I didn't wait long, less than 5 minutes, and the lady I spoke with was great. she answered my questions and when she didn't know the answer she pulled one of the smiths aside to ask them. It was one of the best handled customer service situations I have had.

Like I said I know my problem was easy and I was just asking a couple of questions, but they treated me like I was buying a whole new firearm and I was only buying a spare part that was less than $30 shipped.

Fantastic! We need to ensure we pass along these "feel good" stories.
Seems like the only time anyone posts, it's to biatch and moan.

That's a pretty universal thing, BTW. People are shy to sing the praises of something, but they will shout from the mountaintops whenever something goes awry.

I learned this the hard way. Was getting ready to have "The Snip" back in '99, so of course, I researched the hell out of the procedure.
Don't do this, it doesn't help!!

It was a walk in the park for me, no complications.
But MAN was I tense!

Had a problem with my 970 last year. Took it back to Bud's. They sent in to Taurus at no cost to me. The gun was back ready to go. Three weeks elapsed time.

I called Taurus CS this morning and had no issues and no wait time! I know some of you are calling BS on that one, but not a minute on hold after the welcome message. They are sending me out a replacement mag and said to send in my other 2 if that one worked and they would replace both of them. This may be a great way to get a spare mag, but I digress. I found the CS to be top notch on my 1 and only call to them.
