As experience has shown, accumulating extra mags that are of good quality is a good idea. These take a beating through heavy use for many reasons. Or having enough mags for "just in case" bad scenarios. One can never have enough mags or ammo.
Budgeting for extras takes some doing though, prices being what they are for some models. Prices go up with talk about bans or pending legislation against high capacity magazines.
Some companies sell their guns at low prices. Then when it comes to the extra magazines sticker shock will make your eyes pop.
