Apart from my sons pistol that he keeps, our other pistols are usually close to me.
The other night, I was asleep, kids were out and the wife hears noises...dogs ears are up but he is not yapping....She feels decidedly uneasy.

NOW this is where it gets good!!!! Give her credit!!!!! She goes into my nightstand where her gun, WAS kept, and gets it out.
She finds it fully loaded and ready to go!
Sits in the living room with the weapon, until she goes to bed, with the weapon on HER nightstand.

She told me about this and I told her that she needs to be part of the HD team....signed on right away.....
Had a few practises tonight!
I came up with a few scenarios, depending on whom is home...we are good to go!
AND she feels better!

Sounds like a good idea to me. You can't always be home.

A wonderful story Rod. Thanks for sharing it.

BUT if you're going to live in this country you must learn to spell like an Amar-cun.

Defense is spelled with a "S" and not a "C". J/K

No matter the situation, it's good to have a plan and a backup. My wife knows how to strip and clean, lock and load, aim and fire. She knows where the ammo goes in and where it comes out. She understands cross fire and tactical advantage. If I or she ever needed to act...I got all the faith in the world that if worse comes to worse, I am the one that doesn't have to worry. She's got my back and I have hers.

I'm glad the noise was nothing! It's good to hear she can and is willing to take an active stance in her defence. I feel very relaxed when I travel for work knowing my wife can.

AWESOME WOMAN!!!

Funny story:
I own a night club in southern Illinois. A couple years ago there was a burglary spree going on and every bar in the town we are close to got robbed except mine. So I figured in the next few nights mine was a target. So the first night I sat in the bar all night long armed with my Raging Judge Magnum loaded with 3" 000 Buckshot. Of course nobody tried to break in... The next night my son in law was there all night armed with his 12 guage shotgun. Well he was taking out the trash and heard a noise behind the dumpster, he takes aim and yells "come out or get filled full of lead!" out comes this drunk guy out of the woods yelling "please dont shoot I'm drunk and just trying to find my way home!" LMAO!! When he told me the story I almost pissed myself laughing so hard!

It was announced that Israel is to spend an extra $45 million on defence.

De fence will be 40 feet high and stretch all the way around Israel!
