anyone have a good concealed carry IWB holster for their pt1911? id prefer molded plastic though i dont know if that would scratch the gun up very fast. leather would be ok, but working with a budget and most leather ones ive seen are 60+$

I have been using one of these for approx 2 years and it's awesome. I'm currently carrying a PT1911 in one as I type this. I use it for daily carry and even when I'm riding my motorcycle and have never had the gun move in the holster.

The big key though is a very good, thick belt. I use either a really heavy duty leather belt or one of these:

It really distributes the load 360 degrees and seems to minimize the weight of a fully loaded, steel 1911 (46 oz's).

I carry my pt1911 in this holster the double clip one. http://sideguardholsters.com/holsters/IWB_Holsters.htm. Tight to the body and custom made to order. Holds the gun well but with and easy draw and reholster. I like the metal clips, they hold tight to all thicknesses of pants and belts. Has nice piece of leather that protects your side from the rub of the hammer and thumb safety. I carry cocked and locked and have no concerns about the thumb safety being pushed down. Just my 2 cents.

I prefer the Galco Royal Guard. Expensive, but there are several companies that make a very similar holster for about half the price. It is very comfortable, and stiff enough for reholstering without loosening your belt. I wear mine off duty. Just bought a Pt1911 AR, still trying to find a holster for it though.

haha be careful guys i had my IWB holster n today and was out shooting some full autos... well let's just say i was stanging next to someone shooting a full auto 5.56 M16 and an empty brass got caught between my IWB holster and my skin. 3rd degree burns suck!
