I'm new to the forum and atm do NOT own a Taurus firearm. I do however own several firearms made by various companies. It has recently become a goal of mine to attain atleast one gun from each of the larger makers. Taurus and Sig Sauer are the only two holding me back. I don't hunt or need a gun that will be abused on a dialy basis, I carry either a Ruger LCR or a CZ Rami for my concealed carry piece..even a Kel Tec p32 in the hot summer heat. This longer than planned post is concerning the gold plating on pistols such as the Taurus PT945.(pic below if it worked) How does it hold up? It won't be a carry pistol...more of a conversation piece to show my buddies...or if my wifes gets mad about another gun purchase I can turn it around and yell surprise...I bought it for you! Any help would be appreciated and/or tips about getting into Taurus firearms.
P.S. The Taurus Thunderbolt looks nice and seems fun if anyone has any info on that.
