This inquery is in no way a glock commercial or a Taurus bash. I actually never wanted to purchase a glock because I've never been more annoyed than hearing some people talk about them like they came directly from the sky. Look at my recent post about my judge with pics. Its nothing horrendous but its enough to at least allow me to question the quality of SOME of the guns coming out of the taurus factory. Like I said its nothing horrible but my revolvers already losing its ability to smoothly rotate the chamber after only 200 or so rounds. I have a 24/7 that I love and has been trouble free for close to 1000 rounds. Still those experiences were a minor influence at most in my decision. At the gun shop I felt the Springfield XD9, Taurus Millenium, Smith MP, KAHR, Beretta .380, Sig 250, and a few revolvers. The one that felt the most comfortable in my hands was the glock. Not because of the name, but I just really really like the grip. Every company has lemons and yes you can get it with a 300 dollar or 3000 dollar gun, but in the end the glock felt the most comfortable, was in the price range, and has a tendency to less likely be a lemon. Trust me when I say that It was difficult turning down the Taurus since my whole collection is from them. I made my decision and am happy with it(so far) and I'm just trying to give it the bells and whistle to make it exactly what I want. If thats not a reality I'm sure I'll be purchasing more firearms in the future.
