I just replaced a Gerber EVO today. My old one I had had for several years, then suddenly, it went missing. After a while, it finally turned up under the hood of my Jeep. It had just a slight bend to the blade, just enough to bind the opening and closing of the blade. I tried to fix it, but it just doesn't have that "snap" that it used to open with. My old slightly warped one has not been retired to my tool box. ( I always cut an empty quart oil can in half, to make a handy dandy funnel.

Anyway, for a cheap knife, this was always a favorite of mine.

Gerber make a great knife! They are always one of the first brands I check when I'm in the market for a knife.

Does your damaged Gerber have the free lifetime repair policy?

Some Gerber models have that repair plan.

Congrats on your new Gerber EVO.

A good pocket knife is as comforting as your favorite pair of "broken in" boots.
