Buffalo Bore has warnings that some of their 44-magnum ammo should only be shot from certain models, such as the Blackhawk and the Raging Bull/Hunter. The main weakness on light frame 44-magnum revolvers is the side plate. It reduces the amount of recoil energy the frame can withstand as transfer of energy through the plate isn't efficient so it goes mainly through the parts around the side plate, like the thin part where the front of the grip meets the cylinder frame. That means concentrated force pushing through a relatively narrow piece of metal. Ruger solved part of this issue by doing away with the side plate and having the frame uninterrupted. Ruger's mainly disassemble from the bottom around the trigger guard leaving contiguous metal to even distribution of recoil shock. Taurus' solution was making very large frame revolvers with a thick frame that better can handle the force of the recoil going through a focused point.
So you've covered the 44 mag pistol brands that have addressed the issue, so I'm wondering which brands have not? Can't think of any other manufacturer that makes a 44 mag that's kind of slim unless we're talking S&W here. So, besides them, can't think of any others.
