You are definitely a pioneer. I love my little pt111 and you're helping to make it a customizable gun such as a 1911. You would be good getting a contract with Taurus. PATENT it first then go for it! The recoil assembly is definitely the best I've seen anywhere on any firearm.

A fiber optic front sight with one of the plain rear sights will probably be a nice solution for lots of folks, and it won't cost much either. I like the PT111 G2 and think it is a good platform for folks to play with and make their own.
