Don’t know if it helps but my cheap hornady takes a 100g as well probably not a lot of difference but the sticker on it.

I'm pretty sure some of you use this scale. I've had mine a while but just started to use it. My question is specific...what weight does it use to calibrate? Mine came with a 50 gram weight but when I tell it to calibrate it asks for 100 Grams. If I place the 50 on it it happily passes it but then proceeds to double the weight of anything I put on it which strikes me as very odd. Fortunately I have a set of precision weights with another 50 Gram weight. When I put both 50's on it, it passes and after that it weighs perfectly. I have tested it in a number of ways and it's on.
Anyway it seems strange that it takes a 100 and all the YouTube videos show 50. I suppose it shouldn't matter to me since it works but... At what weight does your FA scale calibrate?

Mine came with 2x50g.
When calibrating, it always asks for 50g first, then 100g. I have to put the 50g weight in the middle of the pedestal then slide it over to make room for the second 50g weight.

Mine came with a 50g weight, and asks for a 50g weight. Sounds like they changed over somewhere and shorted you a weight.

You are correct, Sir. I have both. My 750 started acting flakey last summer so I got the plug-in Platinum version which came with two 50g weights. I have another scale of some sort that came with a 20g and a 30g - it asks for the 20, then the 30, then asks for 50g.Which one? The DS-750 apparently comes with one, but the Platinum comes with 2.

Mine also has a single 50 g weight and but mine only asks for a 50 g weight. Note that the scale does not "pass" the calibration. What it does is believe that a 50 g (or 100 g or whatever or asked for) calibrated weight has been placed on the scale and it uses that weight to calibrate the electronics. That is the reason all your resulting weights are doubled. If you put a 75 g weight on the scale when ask, you would get a similarly scaled error.. What I would recommend is that if you have a scale that's calibrated, that you make a couple of spare calibration weights. It's easy enough to do by cutting down a lead or FMJ bullet and verifying its weight at 50 gr and another at 100 gr. Keep them wrapped in tissue paper and keep them with your scales documentation. If you ever lose your calibration weights, you have spares to fall back on.
When i first started out loading for pistols I bought a FA that was battery only operated it was or is an accurate scale but those little button batteries were getting expensive use I bought a lyman plug in that can also run on two AAA batteries I figure it has paid for itself by now on battery savings. The FA would celibate using the smaller weights. I would go with PEACEMAKERS idea sounds like the logical thing to do good luck
