I would love a go with that thing!! Coonan makes a 1911 chambered in .357 mag that is a neat peice too.

there has been a couple/three post on this thing!
Seems they are actually available, special order and waiting list?
I am picking one up right after I get my screen door installed on my home made submarine.
can you imagine the weight on this thing?
lets see the typical 1911 is about 42-43 ounces, a full (at least ) pound of ammunition??
hmm thats about what 102 ounces.
Not to mention the problems with possible function.
Ok one jams , so now what do you do?

I don't know if it would be that much larger in the hand than this, but it definitely would be a LOT heavier!
Heres the same 15 rounds of 45 acp goodness in a better sized 1911.
