Saturday November 10[SUP]th[/SUP] 2018
9:00 AM - when ever
Hawthorne, FL - Directions will be sent via private message to those attending.

We have met at this property in the past and have had a great time.

New this year: Because the range has become a training range for area groups there will be a range fee involved. We are essentially reserving the range for our exclusive use. Depending on the number of people coming will depend on the fee. Expect $15-$20 per person for the day.

Please let me know as soon as possible on who plans on coming and how many people in your group. I look forward to seeing previous members and new members as well.

We will be looking for volunteers to bring a gas grill to cook lunch. Also for who can bring a main course and side dishes.

Bring your own chair(s) and a table if you have one. I have one table for sure, possibly 2. Also bring your own drinks. I’ll have a cooler with ice and a case of water.

In previous years we have started off shooting rifles and then stopped for lunch. After lunch we moved the line forward and shot hand guns.

I'll keep post #2 uptodate with who is attending and what they plan on bringing.

I will be there with a +1

I will bring hotdogs and sausage (hot and mild) for everyone.

As far as firearms.... I think I will be bringing a selection of .22 LR handguns and rifles (both suppressed). Some will be common and some will be rare. Let me know what .22 you would like to shoot and I will have it there.

If there is interest I can arrange two .50 BMG rifles for anyone to shoot. Please bring ammunition if you want to shoot them.

I can also have most of the major handguns in the big bore calibers available. 45/70, .500 S&W, .480 Ruger, .460 S&W, .454 Casull, .44 magnum, .41 magnum, .45 Colt, .357 magnum, and .327 magnum. Here is your chance to try out and compare all the big bore magnums in the same place at the same time. That is something very few folks get a chance to do! If there are any other handguns in any other calibers anyone would like to shoot let me know. As with the .50 BMG if you would like to shoot any of the big bores please bring ammunition.

It should be nice weather and a bit cooler and I know we will have a great time!

I'm in! Most likely just me. If I remember right the Publix mango/key lime pie was a hit. I'll bring a couple/3 of those, maybe throw in some tater salad and what not. I should be able to borrow a table from work.

I don't really have any cool or unusual firearms but will bring something to shoot with.

Yes Don please supply a .50BMG. I will have ammo.

It's really great to see the Florida folks getting together again. Getting to meet with folks you think you already know is what it is all about. I would try to set up another get-together in Lubbock, but who wants to travel to Lubbock??? :dunno:

Time and money! Otherwise I would get to all of the TA events, including Lubbock!

You could always travel to Florida for a weekend.

I traveled to Jacksonville one time just to see Big Skiff and he came up with a lame wife excuse for not meeting and going fishing. I'm kind of gun shy now about traveling to Florida to see other members.

Big Skiffs wife wasn't actually lame, she just already had a trip planned and like Jonrjen says, Happy Wife, Happy Life!

Darn- We'll just be getting back from a 4 day camping trip or I would be there with bells on. If we were going to have been at Anastasia State Park we'd be going right through Hawthorn on our way back to the island. I might have finagled a stop over. Alas, we're just going to Manatee Springs to get away from the office for a short.

Have a great time and take lots of pictures to post. The photo output from the last TA meet was disappointing... (No offense...)

I'll be there with my wife. I can bring grills, gas, tables, condiments, paper goods, ice and could bring food if necessary.

Fish, would love to enjoy your hospitality and meet up again but funds are stretched and the wife just returned to work part time after her knee replacement so I don't think her boss would appreciate her takin more time off.

Not doing Turkey week up north this year, so this might be doable. Need to check with work.

If I do come, I'll be bringing all the toys, and likely some beef jerky.

Just ordered ammo for 2 of the most fun guns to shoot ever!

Plus it will provide some reloadable brass for someone!

And ya know, I couldn't find anyone giving that stuff away!
