First nice day this year, temps in the mid 30's and only about 3-5 mph wind and I had a new scope for my 7mm Rem Mag so I went to the range. I had bore sighted it at home in the basement so I tried 8 shots at 100 yds. Shot two shots each time then would adjust the scope first two groups were a little right, third group just low, I wanted the scope to be about .5 high at 100 yrds. and that puts me about .5 low at 200 yds looks like I over adjusted to the left for the last two shots. looks like 2 clicks right and I'm good.
So now enough of the heavy recoil here is 6 shots with my 204 Ruger at 100 yds.
Congrats getting to the range! . Good shooting - especially with that 204! We don't see that caliber Ruger in my area, unfortunately. I know others on this forum like that rifle, too.
I guess I take my "range trips" for granted. It's been poor weather, rain, but not freezing. But, I've been sick....AGAIN....getting sick of being sick. I just haven't felt like it.
I've got to test my 360 grain .50 caliber minie balls I cast the other day. I'll get around to that. I have two rifles to test 'em in, my Hawken Hunter Carbine and my CVA Wolf.
The caliber is 204 Ruger, the rifle is a Thompson Center Venture. Great round for groundhogs and coyotes that round is a Hornady V-Max 32 gr. pushed by 30.6 gr. of BL-C (2) and is is traveling about 4030 fps. Since getting this gun I have barley used my 22/250.
