I have a new PT145. After about a hundred rounds or two, it stopped firing, no dent on the primer. After inspection, it looked like the firing pin safety on the underside of the slide broke. My local gun shop replaced the part from another gun, so I'm back in business, but I was surprised it broke.

Any one have a similar problem??

Thanks.

My new 145 did that after about 30 rounds. I think Taurus calls it a "Firing Pin Lock" part number 1.26 I think and mine broke in half. It appears to be a MIM part and my PT145 is now at Taurus being fixed. Taurus either has a bad batch of MIM parts or it's a flaw in the design of the part.

Looking at my 24/7 OSS, it has a different design of the firing pin lock from the PT145 and looks like it should hold up better.

I was bummed when mine went down and hope Taurus can take care of this issue with better parts. When I get my PT145 back I will need to run at least 600 to 800 trouble free rounds down range before I'll trust it for CCW.
