I've looked most everywhere to see what steel and finish are on the Pt111 G2s.
Are they carbon steel/blued, or stainless w/blackened finish?

I looked on the site and it doesn't say.Taurus International Manufacturing Inc Take a magnet to it is my thought.

I put a rare Earth magnet to it and it lifted the pistol off the table.
I don't believe stainless has that much attraction.

Your slide is a chrome vanadium steel. Maybe 4140 or 4150 which is an ordinance grade steel.
