My method for accomplishing:
3) Use the hair dryer tip to help loosen the locktight first.

Removed slide, springs, barrel.
I put slide on the ground, pointed hairdyer about 2-3" away from the sight to loosen (making sure vents are clear).
Turn on dryer on medium heat for about 2-3 minutes.
Immediately insert a tight-fitting wrench and give a quick counterclockwise twist to crack the loctite.
Repeat for other sight.

Can't help on the 24/7...someone with one will need to chime in.

I ordered mine form tactical-store.com...can't recall how I found them. They were back ordered for like a month and they gave me the option of canceling, but I just waited, then one day they showed up like a nice surprise!

this might sound stupid but what is the advantage of fire sights?I think they look cool and might even get them for that reason.
thanks
Actually, very SMART question. My personal motivation was that I didn't take to the Heine sights. No problems with my other pistols, but didn't like the Heine. One pistol I'm most accurate with is a Browning Buckmark with sights that look at lot like the Firesights, so based on my dislike for the Heine's and success with the Buckmark, I decided to try them out. Now I just need the snow to melt enough to get up the range's driveway!
