I have wanted a SS 6 inch one forever, but have never seen one in person to buy or found one in stock when looking. A LGS had a 4 inch blue in the case and I went for it. Ordered a pair of speed loaders and am looking forward to it. I would welcome a good recc. on some decent leather fitted for it. Not sure who makes holsters specifically for it. Thank you.

Congrads on the new score! They're fun to shoot,IMO. Looking forward to a pic. BTW,I read elsewhere that there are no speedloaders (yours is still an 8 shot, right?),where'd you find some,I'd love some myself if available (not that I'll be CCW'ing mine with it's 6.5" barrel,LOL)

Congratualtions, give us a range report after you try it out. Finding speed loaders for it was a good
score too.

I've got to correct myself from another thread.
It seems that there are speedloaders for the 608 after doing some research at .357 Model 608 Accessories . Me,make a mistake? NEVER! Screw up occasionally, but mistakes. NOOOOOooooo!

I'm the one who wrote there were no speedloaders for it. WRONGO on my part!! There are. 5 Star makes good dependable loaders. I've got a few for some of my revolvers.

I hope to grab some pics soon. I am still sorting out a Thunderbolt that is a jam-o-matic right now, that is the companion to it.

Congrats. I've looking for a 4 inch SS for awhile. I may settle for a model 66 tomorrow. Pics and shooting impressions when you can.

Fair point AZ. I was thinking mostly settling for 7 rounds as opposed to 8 in the 608. I held the 66 today and it felt and looked like an outstanding firearm. The guy said he sells a boat load of them. I had to pass though as he wasn't offering enough for my trade in.

I have not bought a new revolver since the 80s. I had a family .22 lr Colt Buntline that was the **** hunting pistol and still have it, bought a used .357 Ruger NM Blackhawk and still have it, and bought and sold a used S&W model 15 combat masterpiece. It felt good to buy a revolver again finally, and come to think of it the first one I have bought new.

I was thinking the same thing.

It's been a while since I've actually seen a Taurus M608, so I've just about forgotten what they look like. ;)

OK, you impatient gun porn addicted bastards :) I was going to wait until I had my speed loaders and a holster, but here you go:
Please let me know of any holsters that are a true fit for it, I would like to get a good one.

It does not make your heart skip a beat like the SS 6 inch and 8 inch ones, but glad I finally got my hands on one.
