Currently have a Taurus PT709 9mm w/ 1 factory 7rd magazine I did add a Pearce grip extension to it.

Need to purchase a extra mag should I just buy another factory OEM mag or go with a promag with round extension?

Thanks for all future feedback!

If you choose to use a mag with an extension, keep in mind that a mag extension makes the gun a little harder to conceal. If you aren't using it for concealed carry, it's a moot point.

Pro-Mag haters gonna hate. Shame.

If Pro-Mags were that bad they would have been out of business YEARS ago. Still here.

I bought two of their standard capacity version for mine, They work without fail. In all honesty one came in with the
spring inserted backwards and would not take the full round count. Took it apart and fixed it. No problems.

All the Best,

For serious social concerns, stick with the Factory Magazines!

When I do carry my PT709, I also have two spare Magazines with it, and all of my PT709 magazines have the Pearce Magazine extensions.

I got a Mecgar and I had lots if problems with it. I was brave and put it in the garbage can.
Then I bought a OEM and it has been working great (of course the original also works great).
Stick to OEMs for the 709.
you can always get a bad apple!
but generally Mec-Gar has a very good reputation and a good many manufactures use Mec-Gar mags with their name embossed on the mag, actually many just have Mec-gars name on them.
CZ, Tanfoglio and I believe that taurus use Mec-gar mags now as factory magazines.
I would take a wild guess and say I have around 14-15 or more Mec-Gar mags and they perform flawlessly.
