You guys I did this three times over the passed two weeks, accidentally!! :'( I'm hoping I didn't hurt the thin slice of metal too much in front of the hammer. There seems to be a really small micro bulge forming.... I starting to get really obsessed about having this gun, and feeling like I have to treat it like a fragile teady bear, or something bad is going to happen to it.

Is everything going to be alright... How often has this happened with the folks here? Pictures would be nice. I figured you can use the safety to prevent the hammer from falling if the trigger is pulled. :(

It's something that I did when I had my Kimber apart for cleaning but I didn't do it often or everytime (that I can remember). I never noticed that it caused any issues. That being said, I don't recommend doing this on a regular basis.
