Same my first Rossi Circuit Judge at the range today. this is the carbine version of the Taurus Judge. didn't know they were actually shipping any.

Watched a guy shooting his and I did NOT like it at all. Over the years, I've had too many revolvers spit lead, flame, and powder out the side, and wound up with a couple of burns from too-hot 44 mag loads. When I shot metallic silhouette from the creedmoor position, bracing the revolver against my leg, I always had an old piece of leather as a pad. Not loving the idea of a revolver cylinder a few inches from my face.

Just my $ .02 ----- if it's your thing, go to it. But watch the hot handloads.

The blast shields do a great job of redirecting burnt powder and gasses away from the shooter. Never been burned at all with the one I shot.

+1 on the blast shield doing a great job. on another note, i have let 3 different people shoot mine and they all thought it was a weird gun before shooting but all 3 loved shooting it. it is a super fun gun to shoot
