Will Taurus honor warranty on their pistols if you use reloads? I've read a few posts here that claim they will if the load is to factory specs, but I thought I read somewhere else that using reloads voided your warranty.

technically reloads void your warranty, but unless you grossly overload you cartriges(ie. blow your chamber apart), it'd be pretty hard for cs to determine if you've shot reloads or not. My gf's father in alaska has reported several 44mag/45LC Taurus revolver explosions in the last few months. All were due to reloads that had double powder loads.

I agree with ciurym. It's my belief that all the gun
manufacturers would void their warranty if you use reloads.
But, if you reload super careful, & don't damage your gun, who's to know?

I also concur with Smokewagon. "Don't ask, don't tell!" I have the PT101SS
in .40 cal. A short while after I bought the pistol, the pin on the rear sight
came loose, & fell out. The pin was lost.

I sent the pistol back to repair the rear sight. They fixed it with no problem.
And, I didn't divulge the info, "oh by the way, I shot reloads in this pistol."
And, I shot many, many reloads through that pistol!

1. You cannot prove the reload was equal to factory specs.
2. Taurus will never know you were using handloads loads unless you tell them.
