I have heard nothing but good about customer service at taurus.I believe they do care.maybe you got a lemon.I have no problems with mine.maybe you should write that letter if you feel you need to.

good luck
I think that by providing a lifetime warranty, they show that they do care. They make an allowance for their not being perfect and do their best to make up for their shortcomings.

I've read that the quality of their products has gone up considerably from the early days. We all know that the people who have problems with a product will be a lot louder than those who are satisfied with it.
Fortunately, I've never had to use Taurus Customer Service. Both of mine are great, right out of the box.

It only makes good business sense to provide good customer service. Millions of dollars in advertising notwithstanding, the best form of advertising remains word of mouth. I'd wager that many of the Taurus haters are parroting complaints they've heard second hand. Some gun store commandos think that bashing a particular gun maker, somehow makes them seem knowledgeable.

I've been pleased with both of mine. I wouldn't trade them for much more expensive guns.
i dont know if they care, i've heard the CS is poor, (although i hear they answer the phone rather quickly)

i've never had to deal with them.. be happy if i never do.

Lifetime warranty does'nt really say they care.. after all i've heard more then a few stories of having the gun sent back unrepaired so lifetime warranty really does'nt do much if it's not honored.

im very happy with my pt92, my tracker although a nice shooting gun has some slight problems.. it's not 100% and i over paid for it.. it was the 3rd one i looked at NIB.. chalk that one up to being a idiot.

i will buy another semiauto from them no prob.. however their revolvers im convinced has a QA issues.
taurusdude57, what is your gun and what's the problem? Maybe if you post some pics someone here can help.
Your post seems to be better suited for the complaints section so that's where it's going.
I'd like to see some pics too. You are very vague about what specifically is wrong with your gun, and you don't tell what your experience with customer service is......I'd need a LOT more detail before I could feel your pain. It seems like alot of these new posters like to come on here and gripe but many are not giving a whole lot of anything to show what is wrong, or they are what I would consider minor issues.
i've been thinking on this post, and the real point just came down hard on me.

i've been thinking about what my next handgun purchase will be. and i've been, as is my habit, doing a LOT of research before i buy. and this is what i've determined. i seem to see a lot of people with problems on this board with their taurus handguns. and a lot of people that have to send their guns back for repairs. i was about to bail on taurus because of this. i was this close to believing what i've heard, that they are kind of shoddy.

but then i got to thinking about the old saying "squeaky wheel gets the grease". how many people on this board are there? how many people on this board have taurus handguns that are functioning perfectly that don't post it? like with most things, we only post when we have a problem, we don't so much post when things work perfectly. for every post that something has gone wrong, how many guns are operating flawlessly that don't get a post? i personally own five taurus handguns, pistols and revolvers, that have never malfunctioned over a combined total of 20 years and god knows how many rounds through them (i couldn't count, all i know is i have huge bags of spent shells in the closet. i'm not counting them). and that's no bull. not a single FTF, not a single FTE, with ball or hollow point. nothing.

bottom line, i almost got caught up in something that, on further deeper thought, i really don't think exists to any great deal. and i always said i wouldn't do that. just goes to show how easily you can be lead astray if you don't keep your head about you at all times.

hey, do i have a valid point? or no? if not, i'll just stfu. but i think i do. what do you think tex
Jonyrotten, I was just bugging out on the group hug.....

I'm still waiting to see some pictures of a specific issue, or at least hear some kind of specific detail as to what the OP is having issues with. Tick-tock, tick-tock......

I tend to agree with you Jony, I've never ever had a problem with a Taurus right out of the box. I thought I did when I bought my 24/7 Pro 45, but turned out it had more packing grease in it than Fonzie's hair does - after I cleaned this out, everything was fine. I bought a 24/7 9mm from Bubba on this forum down in Houston, and once I got it home and we were breaking it down, my son broke the firing pin retainer - quite simply his own fault. I sent the slide back to Taurus, and I got it back in 27 days - completely fixed, including a replacement of the front sight that I didn't ask for but they must have seen something. So, while I've heard a lot of posters complain of brand new guns never working, I'm more under the umbrella of satisfied, happy customer. Maybe I've just been lucky, but I really don't think so. JMO.

I don't believe that Taurus' customer service is bad. It's great. Just really SLOW.
