I'm looking at picking up a used 24/7 for about $330. I know I can get a new 24/7 Pro for about $50-$60 more. Can anyone tell me the difference between the two models? Trying to decide whether the extra $50 is worthwhile. On this particular 24/7 the slide is as smooth as butter, but doesn't catch when I pull it back with an empty mag inserted. Seems a little odd. Is this normal for the 24/7?

Thanks!

24/7 is a DAO trigger. The Pro version is a SA/DA trigger.

The slide on all 24/7s should lock back on an empty mag.

Suggest you try the SA/DA trigger on a 24/7 PRO before you buy a earlier DAO version. Unless one has a strong need or preference for DAO, most strongly prefer the SA/DA trigger on the PRO models.

One segment of the carry market who might prefer DOA are the lefties. With a safety only available for right-handed shooters, the SA trigger might not offer the same level of safety when carrying with the safety off....
