Hmm, sorry bud, but I'm not familiar with the "roster". Is that like an approved for sale in that state list?

Maybe to Taurus, Cali is like that good lookin' young gal everyone is nuts over - "Somewhere, someone is tired of her crap"... :D

Seriously, hope it gets rectified for you, and welcome to the forum!

That is exactly what it is.
That is a BIG list of guns! Are these guns that are no longer MFG'd ?
No. Just no longer legal in Commiefornia.
Although some on the list are discontinued models, the the PT 24/7 I have.
How's that work, if you own it can you keep it and just not sell it?

So, did Barrett 'abandon' Kalifornia when they pulled out and declared that they would no longer sell their guns to any LEO organization in that state? I don't think so.....Kalifornia goes about intentionally making it difficult for gun companies to sell their products there. It's just a fact. If you don't like that, then your choices are simple. Either elect rational state representatives and senators, or.....leave.

Rational compromise, coming to a state near you.

My question is what's wrong with California? They violate your second amendment rights over and over again and the folks from California just keep right on electing the same bunch of liberal gun grabbers. No wonder your state is in the crapper! To top it all off, California is the proud as punch place that gave us Diane Feinstein. I think if I lived in California I wouldn't be able to sleep at night knowing how screwed up the state is.

To answer yuor question though, maybe Taurus has just had enough of being pushed around by your state government and has decided to stop jumping through hoops for them. You can fix that however ............. go vote!

I used to like to go to California.......not any more.....and not just because of their gun stance.....

Good point TTG; Barrett made an example of Kommiefornia when they quit selling to a state which usurped the 2A rights of its citizens. A class move!!

And looks like Taurus as well as Sig, S&W and a whole lotta other firearm manufacturers are showing they are fed up with hoop jumping - as the hoops are getting smaller and seem to me always moving - makes it difficult to jump thru it.

We got lots of prime real estate on the east coast here - clean living, real estate taxes tolerable (c/w Kommiefornia, of course - just ask Phil Mikelson), and firearms still revered as a birthright - not a priviledge to be doled out by the gubmint!

Seems with the advent of the 10 and 7 mag limits, a lot of the most popular high cap semiautos will become illegal overnight - imagine that! A 1911 becoming an illegal firearm??

Believe me when I tell you that I didn't vote for these people.

And, I know that some of the guns that fell of are no longer being made but what about those that still are?

As for moving out of this state I wish it was that easy.
How's that work, if you own it can you keep it and just not sell it?
The way our roster works is that for a FFL to deliver a handgun to a non-exempt; read LEO, person the handgun must be on the roster or roster exempt*.

Once someone owns a gun they can sell it to anyone they want in "Private Party Transfer"

I mentioned that some guns are roster exempt. By working with the laws as written we are now able, with a little bit of extra work get to buy guns that are sold everyday in "Free America".

Such as this Single Shot Exempt Ruger LCP

Once the person has taken delivery from the selling dealer they can put back in the factory equipment and make it a fully functional semi-auto pistol.

As I posted somewhere else:
Ca requires ALL pistols to go through safety checks or they cannot be sold OR, I believe imported.
One of the tests is the "drop test" .
The loaded pistol, with safety off, must be dropped from a certain height, I believe it is over 15" and NEVER fire!
MANY, firearms mfgs turned round to CA and said NO. For many mfgs it would have meant a complete new design to comply from the height they required. For some mfgs...they didn't want to run the risk from 2 feet!
Believe me when I tell you that I didn't vote for these people.

I understand what you're saying, but doling out blame to a specific manufacturer for this issue is unfair, if not irrational. As stated, the legal hoops that your state forces upon these companies is ridiculous to the extreme, and I think you should get used to the fact that as long as you have stupid state politicians, your choices are going to become more and more narrow.
