WOW, LOTS of misinformation in this thread.

Here's what I could find:

Devastator Ammo

From their site "It's Awesome! It's Powerful! It's the Ultimate in Self-Defense ammo! Devastator ammunition is designed to produce one shot stops and eliminate the dangers of pass through shots. Its devastating knockdown power comes from the hollow point cavity in each round being filled with a special ''Detano-Expanding'' compound. Devastator ammo grossly expands on impact to insure 100% maximum energy is delivered to the target and reduces the chance of a pass through. This makes Devastator with Detonating Tips the ultimate ammo for home defense, personal protection and law enforcement applications. Six rounds per pack."

From the University of Missouri/Kansas City: "...Devastators have lead azide-filled centers within lacquer-sealed aluminum tips..."

Here's the "Detno-Expanding compound" (pretty nasty, can detonate from a 6 inch fall, detonation velocity of 3 miles per second) :

I fired the factory and made plenty back in the 70s and 80s , when shot into clay and one recovered from a boar consisted of just the jacket opened up with the anvil of the primer welded dead center in the base . Shot a brand bull in the head with one out of Marlin 44 cabin ,wow like a deer shot in head with 30/06

Welcome to the forum.

Just wait til this hits the usual suspects. There will be cries and demonstrations about this "super deadly ammo" that anyone can buy at the convenience store, right next to the semi-assault rifle conversion kits and assault scopes.:icon_rolleyes:
