Does anybody out there carry crossdraw? Due to big gut it is easier to conceal, but boy is hard to get used to. Just was wondering who else has experience. Thanks :D

Yeah it can be tough feeling for a bit. But if you want fun, try a crossdraw rig, with a 13" long Judge! Actually, if I am on a tractor, or my utility vehicle it is the most comfortable way to wear it.

I use a shoulder rig for my 627 when I am out in the woods. It is far slower on the draw compared to a strong side belt holster, but I don't wear it with speed drawing in mind.

One thing that you really have be careful of is sweeping yourself with your gun on the draw. That takes practice.
Hmmm! sweeping yourself with your gun, now it may be just me but I come closer to doing that in a strong side holster than I do in shoulder, or crossdraw. Admittedly I am talking about my legs and feet, but that is the closest I come to sweeping myself.

so what do you do with your weak arm. I have to raise mine up like a scarecrow to avoid sweeping it during a draw. A cross draw hip holster would make it easier to get your arm out of the way, but if you draw with your weak arm just hanging there, you're pretty certain to sweep it.
As currently, with a cross draw, I do not have to wear a vest or coat with my big gun as it sits about 1030 or 1100. But with the PT111, or rossi, my weak hand comes up above the belt line, and is never in play until the gun is pointed down range and I am bringing it under the grip. I would never want my weak hand in play, unless I was going to make it the shooting hand for some reason.

I still say, even strong side, I only could sweep a leg or feet, if I was stepping back during the draw.

I guess my weak arm could come into play, in a shoulder holster, and be swept, but I keep my finger off the trigger until I am pointed down range.

I never thought about sweeping my left arm during a draw until I read this thread.
Yeah, just make sure if your in the car or chair, you get it up to your chest, or disconnecting the seat belt, then your not sweeping much of anything.
