I was just curious about this. Has anyone ever had he edges of their pistol slide rounded out to reduce weight and add to concealability during pocket carry. I doubt I'd ever do this but I was curious.
I just thought about doing it on my new glock. It conceals well in my front pocket but it would be just perfect if those sharp corners on the slide were rounded off.
I'm just curious if it would damper the integrity of the slide or pistol. If it doesn't I may be onto a new trend. even if its been done a ton of times I'm still gonna take credit for the idea. LOL
When done by a good gunsmith it is safe and looks great. By the way this procedure is called a "Melt job" or "Carry melt". Google it for smith's who do this procedure.
