I'm returning to hunting after a long time of being away.

I'm considering one of two Taurus revolvers as a sidearm: (Where I hunt, only the ignorant and naive go without a sidearm)

I'm considering these two:

1. MODEL 444 ULTRALITE .44 MAGNUM REVOLVER (4in barrel)
2. RAGING BULL MODEL 454, 454 CASULL REVOLVER (5in barrel)

I'm very interested in reading comments from owners of these revolvers.

Thanks, and have a great day.

Thanks for the input

Thanks for the input everyone.

I live in Northern Nevada and I'll be hunting cougar. In addition to the large cats that abound, there are MANY black bears where I'll be hunting. So a sidearm is a must.

I hope to do some bear hunting in both the lower 48, and Alaska. I've been away from from hunting for far too long and am eager to get back into it.

Nevada has a year-long cougar season, with a bag limit of two per person per year.

Nevada is well known for it's casinos, but the hunting is great here. I encourage everyone to hunt Nevada.

Fishing is great here also. Most think of Nevada as a desert state (which it is) but there is good fishing here also.

Thanks again
