And yet another good example of people who carry guns legally doing the right thing when needed.

This is why we need to make it easier for honest citizens to carry, not more difficult.

Good thing for me I wasn't there. I would have shot him. He passed Warning when he started beating on the officer.
This is fake news as we all know citizens can only do dumb things with firearms not good! ;)

Great job but what makes me mad is this kind of thing won't get shown nationwide as the mainstream doesn't want people knowing the truth. Good people do good things with guns more than bad things! Thank you for sharing!

Linked article said:
“Had he not been in the right place at the right time, who knows what would have happened,” Waters said. “But he definitely stopped the attack from continuing and becoming much worse. He might have even saved either one of their lives. It could have gone really bad, even for the suspect.”

Meyer said he stepped in because it was in his nature. He added

“[I didn’t do it] to get any extra attention or to have people talk about me or anything I did,” he told the news station.

Meyer added that he’s sharing his story because there aren’t enough “good stories from responsible, gun-owning people.”

The officer was released from the hospital and is expected to be ok.
I think it would be fair to say that few tears would be shed if things went really bad for the scumbag, er, suspect.

Good on the armed citizen for finding it in himself to help. :)

Color me cynical but I would also have hesitated to shoot seeing as I don't have qualified immunity and the court costs for an errant bullet would come from my own pocket, not the taxpayer coffers.
The right person in the right place at the right time with a weapon! Outstanding!
