Remarkably, I saw this hit the wire about an hour ago. Amazing that the liberal media is even carrying it. This would have turned out much worse if it wasn't for a concealed carry holder. Good on him.

Channel 9 out of OK City was playing this non stop at 7pm when I tried to watch Big Bang T.
Got tired and changed the channel after 15 to 20 min. of it.
They had very little to report and kept repeating themselves, with a helicopter above.
After the helicopter circled for the umtenth time they zoomed out and started apologizing.
They had just showed what looked like a body on the ground between a tree line and the roadway.

Its made ABC, NBC, and CBS this morning, and i have heard more then one of them say "gun rights advocates have always said, the only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun"

Surprised we haven't had a report of mass head explosions in the media and political front.

The hardcore leftists will spin this and attempt to portray the good guy as being wrong to shoot an alleged fleeing suspect.

I think the good guy should be honored for taking out the trash.

Possible mass shooting stopped by civilian concealed carriier in Oklahoma restaurant

Very little information so far, it could have been a domestic situation or it could've been random, no motive so far. The attacker was in allegedly in the process of leaving and the concealed carrier was allegedly entering when the concealed carrier shot the attacker, but the article doesn't mention things like how many were in the bar at the time, or how many were left after the shooting started, as other patrons ran out of the bar or hid when the shooting started. Some of the injuries of the people who weren't shot were due to escaping. It's unknown whether the attacker was trying to flee or just looking for more victims. Either way it's another success story for the idea of citizen concealed carry. :)

Or the one hardcore leftist I am related to would say (as she's said in the past) that if the US had strict gun control the attacker might not have been able to shoot anyone in the first place.
I guess that makes sense, because as everyone knows you can't illegally buy anything in the US, and even if you could the potential murderer wouldn't think to do that anyway. :sarcasm:

I have seen interviews with people who were in the restaruant, they are calling the good guy a hero and would love to thank him.

There are so many counters you have i dont think the forum would allow all of them to be typed due to the size the post would then be.
But a couple of good ones would be, "well banning drugs, did stop that drug problem we had in this country" and "i bet a lot of people in boston a couple of years ago, would disagree that you are safe when the bad guy doesnt have a gun"

CBS wants to know if the man who saved others had a concealed carry permit.

CBS Wants to Know if Citizen Who Stopped OKC Shooter Had Permit ? Finkel Blog

Seems like an attempt to find something bad about the shooter. If he did not have a permit we will hear that a bad guy with a gun stopped another bad guy with a gun. The Anti advocates never miss an opportunity to exploit gun ownership.

One thing I know for certain. The folks who were saved from harm could not give a damn whether he had a permit or not.

Well...that could explain why it's warmer here today and less traffic? There's no one left at the tv station to report it! :D

I imagine so!
but likely after they go home and change their under wear, as they wouldn't want to appear on TV or in public with soiled garments!
then of course there are the other 25-30 that still don't have a clue as they were to busy on the Smart phones!
hey look Louise they had a shooting at this restaurant, wonder when that happened!!!

Here is additional information, yes, allegedly he did.

Authorities say a citizen with a concealed carry permit shot and killed the suspect at the scene.
Not that it would matter one way or the other if I was unarmed (not very likely :) )and inside (or in the case of this version) outside of the restaurant and someone started shooting at me or my family. I would rather take any help I could get in that case rather than be shot by a mass murderer.

I had heard that he had his CWP when I first heard the story also.

Pity that CBS is so far behind the curve...on this and other things like liberty and our Constitutional Republic. Isn't it ironic that a business which is so heavily invested in the 1st Amendment doesn't care one whit about the rest of the constitution?
