Christmas Rifle...

This year, for Christmas, Mom and I decided that I would build the daughter (21 years old) a new AR15 in 5.56.

It took me almost 3 months to get it done (what can I say.... money is tight!) but it turned out nice and she loves it.

I started with an Aero Precision stripped lower. I used a Magpul MOE hand grip and a Magpul adjustable stock with a Spikes buffer, tube, and spring.

I used a Noveske ambidextrous safety (she is a lefty), a Norgon ambidextrous mag release, and a Rock River 2 stage match trigger to complete the lower.

The basic upper is an Rguns mil spec 5.56 carbine length upper. She has a Nikon Prostaff 3-9X40 scope in an NCStar quick release mount (not a good choice... it has to go) on the rifle with a green dot reflex sight on a 45 degree mount just in front of the scope.

The standard foregrip was replaced with a Midwest Industries aluminum quad rail foregrip with contrasting Magpul ladder rail covers. She also has a Tapco vertical hand grip and a Shooters Ridge Bipod.

The Duracoat was custom matched (to the color of her Jeep) and applied by John at Action Arms here in Florida.

The whole thing was topped off with a new drag bag, 2 Bravo steel 30 rd magazines, and 200 rounds of ammunition.

She says she had a great Christmas!

Don
