That indoor range I was talking about in my earlier post...The range officer gave me some input and brought out this poster. (sorry I didn't take a picture of the "left-hand shooter" side of this thing)

I was instantly able to see potential causes of my shooting results. Based on where your rounds are landing, each sector notes what is causing the rounds to land in that sector.
As soon as I made a conscious correction (stopped slapping the trigger) my groups tightened up and became better centered on the target (but still low by 1/2 to 3/4" or so and in a chain).

This poster worked for me ! and darned quick! Maybe it can help others new to handguns. Just my two cents worth.
And now practice, practice and more practice!

For left handed you could always just flip the image over and the results should be the same as for right handed shooters. I think I have the left handed one stored somewhere unless someone beats me to posting it.

Wish I had this chart a LONG time ago. that way I could have looked at it and "Duh...that's what the heck I'm doing wrong"... I assume this is somewhat correct for rifles / AR's..This chart could have saved me a pile of brass and crap load of frustration!!! LOL...better late than never. These charts should be required to be posted at every range!

Hey Ogre 3239,
does mean that the chatter stoped from your wife while she was having that conversation with the paper? I'll be taking me wife to a range soon. Any advice, besides having her read the same piece of paper, and being quiet? (sorry, I couldn't help myself).
This upcoming range day is either going to go real well (and I will have created a monster) or it is going to go REAL bad (and I will have created a different monster).
Really guys, need advice!!! Help! My wife has never so much as touched a firearm (or any sort)!!! We had a discussion last night about range/gun safety, while in bed no less! (Thank you God!) pre-sleep....no monkey business , bummer
