Decide to shoot one more target.
This happened on the second shot.

Detent gone, but the spring is still there. NP, I can make a detent from a small steel nail.
Would really piss me off if it wasn't for the fact I have an aluminum lower ready to build.
Lasted about 600 rounds.
Guess I know what I'll be doing tonight and tomorrow.

Someone at Sandlake had a similar problem. But I think it was a poly lower. Apparently more stress that the engineers think. (?)

Ares Armor Polymer 80 lower, first Gen clearance sale $50 with jig.

Lost the buffer stop and stop spring also.
Maybe I'll just order a whole new LPK.

No Biggie!
Fine tuning the aluminum lower with my Dremel to get the hammer and trigger to fit.
Will have it all back together later.

I can get the lower back together, but cannot install the buffer tube and spring parts.
Have to get another stop pin and spring.

is the 'buffer stop and stop spring' all that you are missing?
I have some small parts spares and can take a look.

Send a PM if you have any other LPK needs.

Also - Brownells, Midway etc. are good for the small parts but if I have it I can drop it in the mail to you tomorrow.

Bummer - maybe Ares will give you a store credit'
Good thing - that you have a back up at the ready.
Spare parts are not a bad thing either. If i buy a spring, I usually get 3 mark them in a bag and drop them in a parts drawer!

What are the measurements on the bolt catch roll pin?!

I'm not positive what I have but it is all in one place so I'll have a quick answer.

Any other members have spares??

OK. Almost done.
All I need is the buffer tube piston stop pin and spring.
SN853271.JPG

I may be able to jury rig it just to test fire.
Tomorrow. It's dark now.

No buffer piston, spring or BCG.
Just fit testing. All OK.
