I assume that the principal topic of discussion was the nine million dollar payout to the lawyers who purport to represent the settlement class.
Reminds me of the refrain in Toby Keith's song:I assume that the principal topic of discussion was the nine million dollar payout to the lawyers who purport to represent the settlement class.
Well they (the lawyers) are getting only 9 million? Suckers... (sarcasm off)

And that's my concern also...239 mil? That would bankrupt them.
Remember, the Final Judgement was reached over a year and a half ago so it's a little late to try and change it's terms. While it might be financially challenging, I'm betting that Taurus will come through this. But in my opinion, it's now a case of doing what you agreed to do. Backsliding on promises is not the hallmark of a great company. And that's my concern also...
Only time will tell...
I chatted with the judge's clerk today (1/23/18 ). The Status Conference was rescheduled to February 13th. You still have time to send a letter to Judge Seitz sharing your experience with this class action lawsuit.Any update or new information from the court ordered status conference for this past Wednesday Jan 17, 2018?

(the year [2017] is listed wrong in the court document)
This status conference is also listed under *important dates* on the settlement FAQs -- Taurus Class Action
I don't believe it had anything to do with Taurus, what I had heard was that the settlement was not good enough for the plaintiffs..............Remember, the Final Judgement was reached over a year and a half ago so it's a little late to try and change it's terms. Amen, Brother King. But the only thing that matters now is whether the parties to the Final Judgement meet their obligations. Judge Seitz will make that determination and there's still time to share your opinion with her as she rules on this matter..If you can't operate a firearm, don't own one.......................
I can say that this Judge, as well as the Court, is NOT going too let Taurus handle this in my point of view properly.............Amen, Brother King. But the only thing that matters now is whether the parties to the Final Judgement meet their obligations. Judge Seitz will make that determination and there's still time to share your opinion with her as she rules on this matter.
I have. The judge's clerk assured me that they have my earlier letter in their possession and it will be considered in the Status Conference. I'm just trying to get more Class Pistol owners to share their opinion while there is still time.but if I were you, maybe find a
way too get you thoughts in the Court..................
Well, they've got to count up the number of people who returned pistols for the cash option before they can divvy up the money among them. The last day to return a pistol for cash was February 6, and they've probably got a couple of warehouses full of pistols to sift through. I can't say I like this class action settlement, but I understand why it's going to take some time to get you your money and me my turd brown PT111G2.Me too. Where's my$$$$?
Class action lawsuits are rarely for the benefit of the consumer. The lawyersI can't say I like this class action settlement, but I understand why it's going to take some time to get you your money and me my turd brown PT111G2.![]()
