I purchased a TCP 738 a few days ago and want to buy a Pearce Grip Extension for it. Pearce's URL says that the grip is only for Taurus 738 magazines made in Brazil. What's the deal?

Maybe this is in regards to the original A model TCP that was below a 70,000 serial number, likely way before you youngsters and newbies here were around?
those magazines are different than the later magazines and will not even work in later production TCP's.
Just a guess on my part.

Hard to say, I have both and don't recall seeing a difference other than the roll stamp saying where made. Perhaps they meant not for the ProMag knockoffs.

I've got several installed on US made mags and they run without issue, so unless the US construction has changed drastically in the last year or so, I can't imagine a problem.

It fits on those too (one of my TCP's came with a ProMag as well as the original).

Thanks for all the replies...I'm going to order one and see if it works out. I just found it strange that the maker of the product issued the warning.
