I bought an M44cp stainless steel .44 mag recently and I finally decided to get a new set of houge grips for it, but the problem was that Midway and the Sportsman's warehouse didn't carry the grips for an "M44cp" So I thought I had a typo on the box. I called up Taurus and talked to the rep. Turns out the box was right, But all I need were grips for an M44. Out of curiosity I asked him what cp sood for: Compensated, the revolver was compensated so they put that on the model number as well. I ordered those grips from Midway. Go figure.

It was burning me up. You'd think the "experts" behind the counter would know what set of grips would fit the guns they sell.

Well I guess it was the sportsman's warehouse, but you'd think they would be able to sell the add-ons, but what got me was that I emailed Midway with the model number and the cp threw them off too.

Well to be completely fair I also called houge and they suggested that I give Taurus a call since they didn't hear of the model number either.

To update you all I got the grips in the mail today and they fit like a glove. It was a tremedous improvement over the stock grips, but I think houge fits me better on whatever I shoot.
