Hello
I have a reciepy for 44 speical that calls for hornady 430 SWC can I use hornady 430 hollow points instead ? Also the SWC don't have a crimp groove,do I still make a crimp? :confused:

This would probably do better in the reload section, maybe a mod will move it for you.

I'm assuming we mean a .430" diameter bullet. You would need to list the bullet weight and profile in question. And if you are going from a lead bullet to a jacketed bullet then you will need different load data even if they are the same weight and profile. Bullet crimp on a revolver bullet is pretty important since you have to worry over both bullet pull and powder ingnition.

I would hit the pause button on this and read through "The ABC's of Reloading". I bought my copy from Amazon.
