Bullet pour day

I decided to pour some bullets today after mowing the grass. I poured 45's mostly 230 grain out of a Lee mold and about 240, 201 grain RCBS mold. I have mainly been working with the 200 Led bullets and have come up with some good loads for that weight bullet. Now I'm going to concentrate on the 230 grain bullets to see what I can come up with I don't know why but up until today I've only shot about fifty of the 230's other than the WWB and Blazer I bought right after buying the pistol. I'm going to try using Alox only for lube nd see how that works out for me. It's always fun working up new loads still chasing after that perfect load

Casting this time of year?

Screw that!

I cast in the fall and winter. Heat indexes are over 100 daily and I ain't adding the heat of a lead pot running in the storage building- which isn't air conditioned- into the mix. It would be like doing it in a sauna with all the rain we're getting.

Yeah, that cool front must've had a little more punch up north than it did down here. But, hey, I just cast shirtless on hot days and run the fan. It's so manly. I should send a picture to Putin. :D I could move everything into the mud room, have done that before to enjoy the benefits of AC. :D I just use the top of my little chest freezer for a casting table.

70 degrees today, drizzly, humid as the devil but a slight breeze makes it comfy.
we have had a some very easy days the last 2-3 weeks here, especially for July and August.
suppose to be pretty much this way until Sunday. Might knock out a couple hundred 223/556 to go in the old ammo cabinet.
would have done it today except this was our monthly Fire Retirees lunch.
You miss one of those and you get way behind on the current lies.
