I do in my FN Hi-Power in the .40 S&W. I have wondered about it in my 1911... would love to try one of the recoil reducers to replace the recoil spring guide. They work similar to the PT145 double spring buffer.

I have them in my AR-15's, AK's, Cetme, Ruger 10/22, PT1911, PT92's, EAA Witness 9mm (CZ75 works) and several other firearms, even modified one to fit my old Star BS (1911 style 9mm for those that don't know...). If they make one to fit something I have, I use them. I've been experimenting with making them for the PT909, PT945,24/7 and PT145 also.

Use buffers in my EAA Witness .40S&W, and both of our PT1911s. For the money it involves (pennies) and the added protection I can't see NOT doing it.

I'll be using Wilson exclusively now, had some Ed Brown buffers but were soft and only lasted about 200 rds apiece.
