I found this complaint on BBB site. So a Rossi revolver can't be replaced by a Taurus... Makes me think I made a mistake sending it in.

July 2016 sent revolver, ser.#******** for repair. Paid $50 Was informed it was unrepairable, and would be replaced with a new revolver model # ******I purchased the original revolver in Texas in April 2014. I have continually contacted Rossi USA about the status, and over and over told on back order. Today called again and informed they will no longer be manufacturing revolvers and will not replace. Told they are working on a solution that will offer options to people who are Rossi revolver owners and waiting for replacements. Asked what that timetable might be? They could not give me an answer. Just that when they determined what the options would be they would contact me. They have had my revolver for going on 8 months. Beginning to think they are trying to stall until people give up. I want them to replace with a similar revolver (TAURUS) as Braztech owns both Taurus and Rossi, or I expect a voucher for $400 so I can purchase something else similar (357mag revolver).
Desired Outcome
I want them to send me a**** revolver. Either a Rossi ***** or a Taurus 605. if tha cannot be done then I want a voucher for $400 so I can purchase a similar**** revolver from another manufacturer.

The firearm was received July 2017. Braztech does not own Taurus and Rossi. Taurus and Rossi are completely separate companies, individually owned. Braztech is the FFL entity that is the exclusive importer of Rossi products. Taurus does own the rights to produce Rossi revolvers, however we have no control over the production schedule or discontinuation. Due to this, Taurus products cannot be used to replace Rossi products or vice versa. We do not have a voucher program. We are working diligently to come to a resolution for these customers.
